Discovering treasures in the attic or diamonds in the rough is an everyday occurrence at Coin Galleries of Oyster Bay. People are often happily surprised to find their coins, stamps, jewelry, diamonds and other collectibles are worth much more than they ever thought. Every day is like the Antique Coin Road Show where Ira, Larry, Lori, Marianne, Jared, Jackie, Chelsea, Katelyn, Kevin, Richard, Sal, Brad, Lloyd, Elise, Susan, Debbie, Steve H., John, Stephanie, Steven W., Alan, Angela, Barbara, Teddy, Ed, and Amy use their many years of experience to buy and sell, or just give a free appraisal if so desired. In 1999, Coin Galleries opened in the old bank building in the village of Oyster Bay.
Coin Galleries has many political autograph and documents as well as Civil War artifacts, ancient Greek and Roman coins and signed celebrity and sport memorabilia. A wall of Rock and Roll memorabilia, including gold records from Elvis, Janis Joplin, the Rolling Stones and others, are beautifully displayed in the gallery next to one of the largest private collections of Beatles memorabilia on display in the country. From its wide range of coins, jewelry, historic items and sports and celebrity memorabilia, it would be impossible not to find a gift at Coin Galleries of Oyster Bay for that hard to please person.
